As a middle school teacher, I bring over half a decade of teaching experience to my role. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in History with a minor in Geography from Northern Illinois University before relocating to the beautiful Texas Hill Country with my husband. I have had the privilege of teaching in various settings, from inner-city schools to small rural communities. Currently, I am certified in Social Studies and EAR (4-8), Special Education (EC-12), and English as a Second Language.

My historical interests extend beyond the classroom, and I thoroughly enjoy traveling across the State of Texas to explore historic sites and markers. Actively involved in numerous historical organizations, I am a member of the Former Texas Rangers Association, The Daughters and Sons of the Republic of Texas, and currently serve on the Burnet County Historical Commission.
